A message from the principal
While I know information regarding my professional experience was sent out with the initial district announcement, I thought it might be helpful to give a brief personal introduction so you can all get to know a bit about me. My husband and I both grew up in a small town in rural Wisconsin. We moved to the MN metro area following our college graduations in the early 2000s. Sorry to disappoint, but that does mean we are, in fact, a household that cheers for the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. We are the parents of three boys (ages 9, 13 and 15), all in Anoka-Hennepin Schools. I hope to see you around the community at football games, marching band competitions and other community and sporting events. I wouldn't count out running into me at any area Target, either.
In my extremely short time here so far, I have already had the opportunity to experience our EL Family Event, Trapper Phil in the Nature Center and Ninja Math! I've also enjoyed seeing the smiles and rosy cheeks as students return from fabulous trips exploring the Three River's Park. A lot sure happens here. What a great place to be!
Again, I thank you for welcoming me to Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy. I look forward to continuing to get to know and support all of you within the school community here. Please do not hesitate to reach out at any time.
EL Family Engagement Night
On Thursday, we held our annual EL Family Engagement Event. It was a great opportunity to celebrate with the multilingual families we serve in our school community. Families and staff enjoyed crafts, fun, games and food! It was a fantastic turnout. Thank you to our EL team for planning and to all who attended!
