Thank you for your support and cooperation in making safety a priority at Winnetka Elementary and supporting the Safety Committee's Dismissal Procedures. Please continue to bring your scholar card for all dismissal areas and all dismissal opportunities including regular dismissal, tutoring, and Saturday school. Together, we can ensure that all of our scholars participate in a safe and speedy dismissal. We have important dates and events coming up. The Night Before the Test: Please ensure the scholar goes to sleep early and receives plenty of rest.

The Morning of the Test: Motivate and Encourage your scholars to do their very best.

The Day Of the Test: Please do not schedule appointments or vacations that interfere with the testing dates. Ensure the scholars arrive at the school’s designated time of 7:15-7:45 am. The cafeteria closes at 7:45 am. Scholars who would like to receive breakfast need to arrive between 7:15-7:45 am and go straight to the cafeteria. As the assessment begins, scholars should stay focused, use the strategies taught by their teachers, and do their very best!

• November 17 Literacy Extravaganza 4:00-6:00 p.m.

• December 8 Winter Wonderland Concert and Art Exhibit 4:00-6:00 p.m.

• On Friday, November 18 we will be taking pictures of their scholars with their house shirts for our house system display. Please allow your scholar to wear their house shirt on Friday, November 18.

Dear Winnetka Families,

One of our goals this year with the House System, is to help our scholars become Leaders in the Community. One of the ways that we will do this, is by teaching them about the importance of contributing to their community through a monthly service project. This month's project begins with the House of Altruismo and its goal to give back to the community through a can food drive to make Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. If you may be interested, please donate items November 7-15. Thank you, your support is greatly appreciated. #Winnetka United
