We are blessed as a Diocese that Bishop-Elect Stowe will serve our community. The installation ceremony will be Tuesday, May 5th, in the Cathedral. Due to the large volume of people and press expected to attend, Fr. Gino and Mrs. Smith have decided it would be best for our students to have an e-day. We wanted to give you as much notice as possible to make arrangements.

Real Life Radio to broadcast the Installation of Bishop Elect John Stowe!

Real Life Radio, in partnership with Cross Roads Catholic News, will cover the Installation Mass of Bishop Elect John Stowe, for those in our diocese who will not have the opportunity to attend on Tuesday, May 5th, at 2 p.m. They will also cover the Vespers Service on Monday, May 4th, at 7 p.m.

Tune in to hear coverage of both days on 1380AM & 94.9FM, if you are in the Lexington area. You can also stream from your computer at or listen through the NEW Real Life Radio iPhone and Android mobile streaming apps.

CKS ABLE volunteers will pair with Mustard Seed Missions in Kingston, Jamaica, for a weeklong mission to help the orphaned and disabled children for which they care. This trip will be geared specifically to CKS graduating 8th graders and their parents. At the meeting, you will have the opportunity to learn more about ABLE and Mustard Seed Missions, the mission trip, and how to motivate your student to fundraise. I am hosting this meeting in May, so that your child can start fundraising immediately and raise their money during the summer. Diocesan Annual Appeal 2015 - Catholic Diocese of Lexington

It is the time of year that we kick off our Diocesan Annual Appeal to assist our brothers and sisters in Eastern Kentucky. They are of extreme need and our Parish, The Diocesan Cathedral, is extremely blessed. I want to encourage each family to share to this appeal. Each family is blessed in a multitude of ways and we can contribute our treasure and prayers toward this mission of helping others.

On Tuesday April 28th your children will bring home a special letter from Fr. Bob Neiberding, our Diocesan Administrator, and a pledge envelope for your family. Your children will also be doing a special collection for the Annual Appeal during their May Crowning Mass on May 1st. I prayerfully ask you to participate by making a gift and/or pledge of any amount.

Thank you for sharing your blessings, and may God Bless you.
