Back to School!

Helping children enroll in pre-chool

This year, we were able to help 7 young children enroll in local Head Starts and pre-schools across our region. Head Start home visitor Millie and Migrant Education Recruiter Rosie visited families together to invite our students to enroll in Head Start and assist with the enrollment process. We also have a very special pre-schooler in the sand hills whose "super mom" drives 45 miles to preschool and 45 miles back whom we were able to help. We were so glad to help this family who is doing so much for their daughter. Her smile (pictured above) is why we are here!

Since pre-school gives kids an important start with socialization, reading and math skills and helps them get ready for school, we LOVE assisting families with pre-school tuition and transportation where needed. If you have a pre-school aged child and need a little assistance, call Kiowa or your local recruiter, Rosie, Rhonda, or Jaymie. We'd love to see your little one thrive!

ESU 13 Migrant Education Program

The ESU 13 Migrant Education Program is a Title 1, Part C program under the Nebraska Department of Education. The mission of the Migrant Education Program is to ensure that migrant children fully benefit from the same free public education provided to other children. To achieve this, the MEP supports educational programs for migrant children to help reduce the educational disruptions and other problems that result from repeated moves.
