Message from Mr. Pope
The Riverside community has been working very hard and has accomplished so much since August. Please know how much your support is valued and appreciated. As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, it is important for students, parents, and teachers to take a much needed and well-deserved break. The button below provides some wellness strategies for making the most of your time away from school.
May you and your family have a very happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday!
Do you want to make expressing gratitude a habit? Practice!
Here are a few gratitude activities for kids that will help make gratitude a daily routine:
- Take turns at dinner sharing one awesome thing from your day
- At bedtime, say three things you appreciate about each other
- In the car, play a game where you say all the things you love (colors, food, movies, hobbies, school subjects, sports, songs, etc)
- Start each week by sharing one nice thing you will do for someone
The Gift of Giving...Begins November 30th!
One of the core values of Riverside Elementary is showing kindness. We would like to show kindness this season by collecting new books for the GCPS Bookmobile and for Centerville Elementary School. Please see the attached link which contains a video about the Bookmobile and a video from the media specialist at Centerville Elementary.
Come on Riverside! Let's show kindness to our Gwinnett neighbors beginning November 30th!
