Nuno Felt in the Tumble Dryer

with Nicola Brown

Nuno felt scarf, table runner or small wall hanging, the choice is yours!

During this intensive one day workshop Nicola will share with participants how she uses a tumble dryer to create soft and supple felt without any of the traditional hard work rubbing and rolling! This technique is wonderful for anyone who might not be able to tackle larger projects due to health issues or time constraints. It's the ideal way to felt scarves, wraps, table runners and wall hangings. Working with white silk, wool and different natural embellishing fibres participants will be able to choose whether they would prefer to felt a sophisticated nuno scarf, a decorative table runner or a wall hanging. These white on white felted items look beautiful as they are but for anyone interested in further techniques they are wonderful to eco print or dye at a later stage. There will also be a selection of coloured yarn and embellishing fibres available for those who like a splash or colour!

Each participant will finish the day with a beautifully felted item and a good working knowledge of how to confidently repeat this process at home.
