Congratulations to Kalle Keranen and Allyana Grochowski for being awarded The Society of Women Engineers Certificate of Merit! The girls were nominated by the Westwood High School Math and Science departments.

"The Society of Women Engineers at Michigan Technological University traditionally recognizes female high school students who have excelled in math and science-related studies. This is a distinguished award acknowledged by many colleges and universities as a great achievement which will prove valuable to these students on a college application."

WHS Experience Fine Dining at NMU!

Every semester the Teen Cuisine class gets to practice the etiquette skills that we have learned in class at a four-course luncheon at NMU's University Center. After the fabulous meal, we take a tour of the catering facilities, event venues, and restaurants on campus, highlighting the hospitality program and the culinary arts programs at NMU.

Inclement Weather Days

It is that time of year again when mother nature impacts school. If school is cancelled due to inclement weather (snow day) students will not have any academic responsibilities. In the event we exceed six snow days, we will discuss the potential for distance learning days.

Closed Campus

Westwood High School is a closed campus. This means that students are not to leave campus during the school day unless they have an appointment. This includes leaving campus at lunch to go to McDonald's, Taco Bell, or anywhere else to get lunch. Students who choose to leave campus at lunch will be subject to disciplinary action.
