We want to welcome our newest members to the Sparkman ACT Club 30! These are students that got a 30 or higher on the ACT! They will be having their picture taken in the library next Tuesday, the 11th at 9:45 am and will be featured in the coming weeks! Way to go Senators!!!!
The Medical Academy and Junior Civitans hosted a fundraiser Volleyball game this week for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation!

We were very excited to host all our kindergarten feeder schools this week for a holiday program!!
We want to congratulate Cindy Stanley, our World of Work teacher, who was presented the State Educator of the Year award from the Governor’s Committee on Advancing Employment of People with Disabilities. Governor Ivey presented her the award today. We are so proud of her!
WWII veteran Mr. Harold McMurran visited this week to Mrs. Coggins’ Great Wars class to discuss his experience in D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge.
Mrs. Wilkerson’s Business class participated in mock interviews this week. We thank all the local employers that came out this week and made this a huge success and provided our students with such great advice!
Congratulations to the Sparkman Engineering teams for winning first place in the InSPIRESS competition today!

The last day to purchase yearbooks is Jan. 11th. The cost is $78. They can be purchased through MySchoolFees or in room 127. Extras will not be ordered.
We had our Christmas luncheon this week and celebrated the retirement of First Sergeant Walter Jones! Thanks to the Sparkman High School PTO for providing our lunch! It was wonderful!!
PARKING INFORMATION
Parking decals are available to purchase for all Juniors and Seniors for $20. You may pay for your decal using MySchool fees or you can pay with cash or check.
Sophomores may turn in required paperwork and will be placed on the waiting list.
Paperwork you will need to bring:
- a copy of your receipt
- a copy of your Driver’s license
- a copy of your proof of insurance
- a completed parking application
Myschool fees - Please make sure you enter your student’s name in the space when checking out. If you are purchasing decals for more than one student please to complete a separate transaction for each student

Decals will be assigned and distributed after the first week of school. Decals cannot be transferred to another student or vehicle.
Remember, you will not be issued a decal if you have any outstanding fees (course fees, textbook fines, etc).
MySchool Fees - Online Payment System to pay for Fees
- Go to https://sparkmanhigh.mcssk12.org/
- Select “Resources”
- Select “MySchoolFees”
- Select “Category”
- Pick “Course” and add to Cart (Repeat as needed)
- Once all categories have been selected, hit “Checkout” button and follow instructions for payment. (Do not check use billing information to create a MySchoolFees.com account)
- Click on who will “own Public Fees” and designate if the funds are for the same recipient or several recipients
- If funds are for the same recipient, identify the recipient by typing in the recipient’s name.
- If funds are for several recipients, identify the recipient by typing in the recipient’s name for each category.
- Submit and continue.
- Follow instructions to checkout
