Cory Booker (NJ)

The Man Himself


Cory Booker was Born in Washington D.C. but raised Harrington Park, New Jersey. He acquired his Bachelor of Arts in political science and Master of Arts in Sociology at Stanford University before achieving a Rhodes Scholar to Oxford University and finally receiving a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School. He became Mayor of New Jersey in 2006 before succeeding Frank Lautenburg in a special election in 2013 as the first Black U.S. Senator from New Jersey.

Opinon on the Minimum Wage & Keystone Pipeline

Since Booker is a fairly new Senator, his views on these major issues have not yet been publicized. His stance on the Keystone Pipeline is not clear but he does support the increase in minimum wage and the following article portrays his stance:


Booker's seat in the Senate is not up for reelection until 2014, but I believe that his views on the these two major issues will have a significant effect on his campaign.
