Thursday, August 10th - 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

  • Enter the building through the middle entrance at the front of the school, second entrance from Hope Village Rd., with a covered area and white columns.

  • Schedule Preview is an opportunity for your student to take care of back-to-school administrative tasks before the year begins. Students pay fine and fees (which can also be paid in the Skyward family portal), verify their residency is in our zone (or have an approved transfer), receive their student ID, pay for parking, receive or swap a laptop, and get a DRAFT of their schedule. Counselors & Admin. are available to help answer any questions you may have.

We highly recommend Schedule Preview, if you are unable to attend students will not get a paper draft of their schedule, they will have to view it online when it is released a few days before school starts. If you cannot attend you are still required to fill out the online registration information and we will take care of the rest of the items when the student returns to school on August 22nd (9th graders first day of school is Aug. 21st). The online registration form portal will open Aug. 4th. All paperwork must be completed prior to attending the Schedule Preview / Residency Verification on Aug. 10th.

  1. Skyward ONLINE Reg. Forms - You must completely fill out the online registration in Skyward in order for your student to participate in the schedule pick up process. If this information is not completed in its entirety, your student will be turned away and will not receive a draft of their schedule. CCISD Skyward Back to School Forms will be open, Fri., Aug. 4th. - Click Here for Skyward Link
  2. FINES & FEES - All students MUST be clear on fines and fees from previous school years before they will be permitted to enter the schedule pick up process at school. Please send your student with the appropriate amount of money to clear the fines and fees (cash or money order only) or pay online in the Skyward family portal. If they owe nothing, students will be able to bypass this station upon clearance.
  3. PROOF OF RESIDENCY - ALL students are required to provide proof of residency - upload to Skyward. We prefer you upload this bill to Skyward, but you can also bring a copy in. Proof of residency MUST include one of the following: Light bill, gas bill, water bill – MUST be from June, July, or August, 2023. We will not accept any other type of bill. If you moved since last year, we will also need to see your lease agreement or mortgage statement to update it. If you are at Brook on a student transfer, you will need to let us know so we can check in the system.
  4. Technology - Students may have outdated laptops. These students will be able to swap them out, please bring laptop and charger and stop at the technology station. Taking care of this before school starts will help have a smoother transition back to school and they will not have to switch their laptop when they get here the first week.
  5. ID's - Students will receive a school ID, which is required to be visible during school hours.
  6. Spirit Wear - (optional station) Various groups will be selling spirit items such as hats, shirts, etc. Bring MONEY!!!!

JOIN PTA!!! PTA Supports Brook BIG TIME!!

Clear Brook's PTA offers our students opportunities for college scholarships, red ribbon week support, school supplies, and much more. They also advocate at the national and state level for public education and student rights. Communities need great schools, and schools need great advocates.

PTA cannot function without parent membership and involvement. Membership dues are $10.50 per member this school year. All membership funds are returned to the campus and classrooms for the benefit of our students and teachers.

Registration for the 23-24 school year is open. Please use the QR code above to join or go to www.joinpta.org.

First Days of School

  • Wolverine Way Day - Monday, Aug. 21st - Incoming 9th graders ONLY (This is the "Freshman Orientation Day") - Our Wolverine Way Day will be an orientation day for our freshman students and help them learn about Clear Brook and what means to be a Wolverine! Students arrive before 7:20 (by bus or dropped off) and report to their Advisory class. Students should be prepared to look up their schedule in Skyward by Aug. 16th. Schedules may change between registration and the first day, so we need everyone to be able to look up their schedule in Skyward on the 16th. We will have plenty of staff to help them find their way around Brook. Students will be released at 2:35 and bus routes will run at this time.

  • August 22nd - ALL students report to CBHS - All students should report directly to first period before the tardy bell at 7:20. Schedules may change between registration and the first day, so we need everyone to look up their schedule in Skyward on the 19th and follow the schedule in Skyward. The schedule from the preview is only a draft and could have changed. Students must follow the proper schedule listed in Skyward on the first day. It is recommended that they take a screen shot or write it down in order for them to have it easily available.

Miscellaneous Back-to-School Information

BUSES: If your student rides the bus, please go to the Transfinder to get your bus number & route number and pick up times. If your student waits until 2:30 on the first day of school to figure out what bus they ride, it will probably be too late and they will miss it.

Dress Code: The district Dress Code still says 22-23, but the 23-24 Dress Code will be the same. Please take time to go over this with your student. Click here for the Dress Code.

DUAL CREDIT: First day of school directions - San Jac classes do not begin until Aug. 28th. The morning (AM) dual credit students will report to CBHS at or before 8:45 am to sit in the commons until the bell rings to go to 3rd period. If you are late to 3rd period you will be unenrolled from CBHS and your schedule will be dropped. YOU MUST BE ON TIME FOR 3rd period which begins at 9:00. Afternoon (PM) dual credit students will report to San Jac after 5th period for their regularly scheduled class, but they do not begin until Aug. 28th.

Starting Aug. 28th, AM dual credit students will report directly to San Jac for class. If students arrive at CBHS, from San Jac, before the bell for 3rd period - they must wait in the commons (and only the commons) until class change. Afternoon dual credit students must leave Clear Brook as soon as high school classes are complete and report to San Jac, starting Aug. 28th.

SCHOOL SERVICE: Seniors with school service on their schedule will report to room 116 during their aide period so they can be assigned their location. Ms. Ruiz will be there to assist you.

OFF CAMPUS CLASSES: Students who travel to other campuses for programs such as auto tech, bio med, etc. should report to room 116 at CBHS during their scheduled periods on the first day of school and see Ms. Schrader. She will give you information about how to travel between schools and what to do when we have alternative schedules, inclement weather, etc.

TARDIES: CBHS begins counting tardies on Monday, August 28th. Students have a 5 min passing period between classes. Four days has proven to be plenty of time for students learn their schedule. If a student is having a hard time getting to a particular class on time, they need to see their AP to discuss routes and timing.

LOCKERS: Lockers are assigned upon student request. Students can get locker information before school, after school, or during lunch in the AP office.

SENIORS with Release Periods: For those students with a morning (AM) release period, it is mandatory to be off-campus and to plan your arrival just prior to the start of your first scheduled class. Similarly, students with an afternoon (PM) release period are required to leave the campus immediately following their final class for the day.

Allowing students to have a release period is a privilege and it is expected that students are off campus during their respective release periods. Please be aware that failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in the student being placed back in a scheduled class. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

IDs: If your student did not pick up their ID at Schedule Preview or needs to get a new one, they can always come into the counseling office before school, after school, or during lunch. The first ID is free given at Schedule Preview or the first week of school, If students need a new or additional ID, the cost is $6. Due to safety concerns, students will be required to wear their ID every day, visible – on the upper portion of their torso.

TEXTBOOKS: At CBHS, most textbooks are only available online, however for the few classes that have hardcopies, the textbook information is as follows: Students are NOT required to check out books – classes that have hardcopy textbooks will be issued to the students through that class. After the first two weeks of school, if the students need a book, they should report to the Locker/ID office and one of the assistants will be able to help them. Students can only check books out before school, after school, or during their lunch.

LAPTOPS: Students who may be using outdated laptop devices, a laptop exchange will be available during the Schedule Preview event. Students bring their old laptop along with the accompanying charger, and make a visit to the technology station.

If a student does not currently possess a laptop, one will be made available during the Schedule Preview event. Please note, however, that while a CCISD laptop will be provided, students are not mandated to use these if they have their own personal device that they would prefer to utilize.

If a student is unable to attend the Schedule Preview and requires a laptop, provisions will be made to distribute these once the academic year begins. We will work to call new students to the library as quickly as possible to receive their devices.

Brook Station - Should any student require a laptop swap, need to check out a laptop, or seek technological assistance, they are invited to visit the "Brook Station", our dedicated library tech help desk. The "Brook Station" remains open throughout the academic year, with technology assistance available before school, after school, and during lunch time. We aim to provide our students with a consistent and reliable resource for all their technological needs.

SCHOOL PICTURES: Pictures will be taken later in the school year. Notifications will go out soon.

PARENT PICK UP/DROP OFF: For the safety and convenience of all, we have designated a specific drop-off zone for our students. Parents and guardians should refrain from dropping off students at the front of the school building. Instead, all students should be dropped off in the back parking lot, accessible via Hope Village.

This parking lot has been carefully designed with one entrance and one exit to regulate traffic flow and ensure the safety of our students and faculty. We urge all drivers to respect this traffic plan and avoid entering through the designated exit. Adherence to these directions is crucial in preventing traffic disruptions and ensuring the safety of our students, faculty, and drivers.

Your cooperation with these guidelines is greatly appreciated. We believe that by following these procedures, we can create a safer and more orderly environment for our school community. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Lunch: Students have the option to either purchase their lunch in the school cafeteria or bring their own lunch from home. However, please note that we do not permit lunches to be dropped off at the front office or at the front of the school during lunch hours. In addition, for safety and security reasons, we do not allow food delivery services such as Door Dash, Uber Eats, or any similar services to deliver food on our school premises.

In the event that a student forgets their lunch, we request that the student approach one of the Assistant Principals or the Assistant Principals Assistants directly. Rest assured, we will assist them in ensuring that they receive a meal for the day.

Our utmost priority is to create a secure, healthy, and efficient environment for our students. Your understanding and cooperation with this policy are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

PARKING: Students who drive to school are required to park in the designated student parking area located at the front of the school, and must obtain a parking permit to do so.

Parking permits will be available for purchase during the Schedule Preview event, as well as during lunchtime in the first two weeks of the school year. To purchase a parking permit, students will need to click the link below and present the following or attach these items in the : Parking Permit: https://forms.office.com/r/0wxmbmYa22

CBHS Parking Rules: https://tinyurl.com/CBHS-23-24-Parking-Rules

  1. Proof of insurance - the student's name and current address must be stated on the insurance document.
  2. A valid driver’s license.
  3. The vehicle's license plate number.

Please note that parking permits cost $35, payable in cash or via money order only.

We want to emphasize that these guidelines are in place to ensure the safety and orderliness of our school community. After a two-week grace period following the start of the school year, parking violations will be penalized with parking tickets, and persistent violations may result in the vehicle being towed at the owner's expense and parking privileges revoked.

Parent Volunteers: We are delighted to extend an invitation to parents who are interested in contributing their time and efforts to help with various activities within our school. Your involvement can greatly enhance our community's spirit and enrich our students' experiences. If you anticipate assisting with your student's group, we kindly request that you complete our volunteer application process. This is a necessary step for all parents volunteering for any Clear Brook High School extracurricular clubs, athletics, and booster clubs. You may find the Volunteer Application information at the following link: https://www.ccisd.net/volunteer-mentor

We genuinely appreciate your willingness to contribute to our school community. Please do not hesitate to contact us or the school sponsor should you need any assistance or have any questions regarding the volunteer application process.
