This year's fair was digital and 4 entries were submitted for judging. Our winners are:

In celebration of Black History Month, we want to recognize the late baseball legend, Mr. Henry “Hank” Aaron. Please help us honor the great 44 player by wearing Braves attire, Braves colors, and Brave Baseball hats are encouraged on Thursday, February 4th!

At Simpson Elementary, we will be exchanging Valentine’s Day Cards and treats on Tuesday, February the 9th. However, in regards to safety, we will need to have students leave them in a decorated shoe box or bag on their desk or counter for at least 24 hours prior to sending home. If you have a digital learner, arrangements have been made with your child's homeroom teacher. Please see the teacher for details. Treats are welcome, if they are store bought and individually wrapped for distribution. Thursday, February 11th, students are welcome to take Valentine's Day cards home to enjoy over the weekend.

A Reminder from Nurse Norris

Happy Valentine's Day! Please remember to follow these important guidelines so we can continue to have a safe, healthy and fun school year!

Please keep your child home if they have any of the COVID-19 symptoms:

-Fever of 100.4 or above -headache -sore throat

-cough -loss of taste or smell -congestion or runny nose

-fatigue -nausea or vomiting -diarrhea

If a student has symptoms consistent with those of COVID-19 while at school, they will be sent to the isolation room and you will be notified to pick them up immediately. We will be evaluating suspected cases on a case by case basis according to the Department of Public Health guidelines for when they can return to school.

The clinic is in need of boys and girls pants in all sizes. If you have any old pants to donate, please send them in.

If your child has medication that must be taken at school (inhalers, epi-pens, etc), please call the clinic at 770-417-2405 to schedule an appointment for medication drop off. All medications MUST be brought in by a parent. Students are not allowed to bring medications to school. This is the PTA's 4th year of providing monthly breakfasts for these teachers and support staff; however, this year looks very different due to COVID-19 precautions. This year, we can provide ONLY prepackaged food from grocery stores or restaurants (no homemade items), so instead of asking for food from you, we are asking for gift cards! We have 4 breakfasts remaining this year and we plan to divide the donations received among the final 4 dates.
