Principal's Update ~ January/February 2020!
Winter Greetings!
While spring feels so far away, this is the time of year when the schedule allows our teachers and students to dive deep into learning. Second graders are enjoying reading non-fiction books and solving challenging word problems in math. Our 1st graders are also reading non-fiction and tranferring that knowledge to their writing. In Math they are making sense of math facts by using "doubles facts". Kindergarten students are using their reading super powers to figure out tricky words and in Math they are comparing and decomposing numbers to ten.
In the coming weeks we look forward to many special school events including our Great Kindness Challenge, Global Day of Play, and the PTA Family Game Night.
Warmest regards,
Mrs. Scotti and Mr. Van Hise
