Singing App?
Chirp is an incredible new way to share your stuff – using sound. Chirp sings information from one iPhone to another. Share photos, webpages, contacts: all from your built-in speaker.
Chirp is a free app from the iTunes Store. There are times in the classroom when you need to get a web address or a picture to your students quickly. This is a great option!
Getting Started
Open your Chirp app then click the plus sign to bring up a menu.
Choose Type of Chirp
Make your selection.
Add a Link
Here is an example of adding a link. You will type in the link to share. Have the students open their Chirp App!!! Click on the BIG yellow button to chirp.

Once the chirp is received, the student will touch the screen and two options will appear. Most likely the student will choose "open in safari."

If needed, the student can send the link, picture, etc. to their email.
Closing Thoughts....
I think that this app certainly has potential for "on the fly" as well as planned information exchange. Keep in mind that students can also Chirp. This could be a great way for them to share out or could be a way for them to disrupt the classroom. Prepare the students ahead of time by explaining what the BIG yellow button does. Obviously, if they Chirp you will hear them :)
