Be Amazing! Be Grateful!

Happy Friday! We had a great week of learning at CGE. Thank you to everyone who voted in the election on Tuesday. As you may already know the public voted yes on all three questions on the ballot for South Washington County Schools. More information about how this affects the different schools can be found on the sowashco.org website.

Next week is a typical 5 day week for our students. We are looking forward to a great week of learning. As we continue with our Be Amazing! Be Grateful theme at CGE, I have added some more ideas on how to show gratefulness that you can use at home.

Thanks for your partnership in your child's education. CGE is grateful for you!

Sincerely,

Candy Gram, Principal

    BIrthday Treats

It has been a common practice to provide treats for the class in honor of a child’s birthday; however we are asking that NO EDIBLE TREATS be sent in to celebrate birthdays. We will make your child’s birthday special in the classroom without edible treats.

If you would like to send a little something to honor their day please consider an alternative birthday treat such as pencils or a book donated to the classroom. We ask that no edible treats be sent in due to varying allergy conditions and other issues related to edible treats in the classroom. Thank you for your help with following this new practice of celebrating birthdays in the classroom.

Birthday “parties” are not given in the classroom and dispersing non-edible treats is expected to take minimal time away from classroom instruction. In addition, teachers are not responsible for handing out birthday party invitations or sending email invites/RSVP reminders to the entire class. Thank you for respecting these guidelines.
