Principal's Message

Wow! The Hilton Families raised $14,628 during the Hound Dog Run Fundraiser. Words can't express our appreciation. I want to thank our amazing PTO board and parent volunteers who put forth tremendous time and effort to support our children. While not every parent is able to volunteer, the financial support helps! The money shared allows us to offer numerous activities, events and enrichment opportunities throughout the year. I'd also like to thank our many sponsors for their generous contributions. Their company logos appear on the back of you child's new T-Shirt. Please support them as they have supported us!

Most importantly, students earned prizes for their efforts. The prizes in include a recess obstacle course, free popcorn Friday and Mr. Eisele's DJ Dance Party!

Thank you again Hilton Families and way to go Hounds!

NWEA Testing

Just this week we wrapped up our NWEA testing. Students in grades 1-4 are screened in Reading and Math, which provides us with individual data to make informed decision about WIN time instruction for your child. WIN, or What I Need, involves a half-hour block of time, for each reading and math, in which students receive support at their individual academic level. This occurs 4 times a week throughout the year. For more information on NWEA, click the bar below.

Toe Token Challenge

Next week is the Toe Token Challenge! Our kids run each day at recess to earn plastic tokens for their exercise! The tokens can be collected or used for popcorn Fridays!

Oliver the Therapy Dog

Students met, for the first time, our new therapy dog, Oliver. While he is still learning, he will be joining us in late May or early June. Let's hope he finishes his homework!

Have a great weekend!

Jeff Eisele

Background Check

If you are planning to volunteer at school at all this year, BAS requires a background check. Here is the link to get that done:

*My School Anywhere- New Online Directory, Store, and Sign Ups*

To join the directory, please visit https://www.myschoolanywhere.com/join.a5w to input your child’s information and privacy settings. Hilton’s invitation code is “hiltonexplores”. This site will also be used to send PTO updates, sign up for events and after school clubs, accept donations and hold emergency contact information. You can also download the MySchoolAnywhere app to your smartphone to receive updated information on the go. If you don’t want personal info on the directory you can opt to not share. Your information will then only be used for emergency purposes.

Box Tops (October 26)

Please continue to collect box tops. The next deadline submission will be October 26. You can send them to school in a plastic bag with your child’s name and teachers name on it. In the past, money raised through this program financed the field trip transportation as well as granted up to $100 to each classroom for much needed supplies.

Kroger Shoppers

Hilton is now enrolled in the Kroger Rewards Program. Please support the school by linking us to your Kroger Rewards Card. Our number is 68151 or you can just type our school name in the search window at https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards

Amazon Smile

How fun would it be to shop, while at the same time, earning money for our school? Amazon Smile (https://smile.amazon.com) is through Amazon.com, in which they donate money for most items purchased through their website. The fun part is that the website keeps a running total on your account to see how much money you donate to the school just by shopping with them. Check out this 30 second video to see how you can add a shortcut to your (mobile) home screen to ensure all your Amazon purchases benefit Hilton Elementary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWgglu7ZCDE.

Coca Cola Give

Attention all Coca Cola drinkers! Another way to earn money for Hilton Elementary is through the Coca Cola Give Program. By collecting Coca Cola caps and codes, Hilton can earn money to purchase supplies for physical education, sports, technology and/or arts. Most Coca-Cola beverages that have a product code under its cap, or printed on its paper packaging, are eligible to be used for donation. Here is a link to the reference list of participating brands https://us.coca-cola.com/participating-brands. Please collect these clean items in a plastic bag and send to school with your child. There will be a drawer in the office for collections.
