The Hull Herald - 10/17/2021
Latest News from Mrs. Hull's 2nd Grade
A Great Week!
This past week we have learned about nouns and used spooky adjectives to add flair and description to our writing. We have also learned about the 7 continents and what the globe looks like. In the coming week, we are going to be learning about sound and how it is create and heard by our ears.
Reminders
- Please send in t-shirt money, if you have not already. We should have the shirts in the coming week.
-If you would like to provide anything for our 2nd Grade Camping Baskets, or send in cash for the basket. We currently have 2 child's chairs, a pack of cards, Yahtzee, a Frisbee, and a cooler.
- If you have not sent in snack this month, please send something in the next week or so. Thank you all for all you provide to our class!!
- We are still using water bottles through out the day instead of the water fountain, please be sure to send a water bottle or bottle of water with your child daily (we will reuse the empty plastic bottle as their water bottle). Students need more than just a milk or juice per day, I have been providing cups but the spills are very frequent.

Homework- Sharpening our Skills
Letterland: We will continue to follow the Letterland Format, I have added a copy of the instructions and this weeks words here.
Reading: This week you will notice a new reading sheet coming home, that looks very similar to last week. This homework will target your child's reading fluency (how fast they accurately read) and allow your child to practice some of their comprehension skills. There is one question to answer nightly. Please note, every child has a reading sheet tailored to their current reading level. If you find that this is much too hard or easy, please let me know.
