BEAR BRANCH NEWS!!
Yearbook Cover Contest - We invite all BBE Students to enter their drawings in our Yearbook Cover Contest. One winner will be selected to be displayed on the front cover. The next Four runner-ups will be selected as Honorable Mentions and displayed on the back of the yearbook. Open the attached Document, read the details, and bring your BEST work! Entries are due by Friday, November 20th.
Student Masks - Our teachers have student rosters for students that are supposed to be wearing a facial covering (mask, shield, gator). They remind students to wear them, and they have noticed that they show them being not clean or fresh. For students wearing face coverings to school, please make sure that they are cleaned and sanitized.
Picture Retakes - Picture retakes will be Tuesday, November 17th, from 1:30 to 3:00. This includes those wanting to retake their original, those absent, and including our online learners.
Veteran's Day Parade - We enjoyed celebrating our Veterans of Magnolia on Wednesday, November 11th. One of our parents shared this with the admin team.
"A friend of mine drove her dad through the parade yesterday, and she shared that it was almost even more memorable this year for him because of everything going on in the world and seeing that it was still valued and that the kids were able to support and cheer. In my own mind, I was thinking how wonderful it was, so see them appreciating and hopefully valuing and respecting the service of others. I loved it!"

District COVID Dashboard
To access the District's COVID Policy, click here.
In a continued effort of transparency to our Magnolia ISD families and staff, we are updating the Magnolia ISD’s COVID-19 notification process. Instead of sending out daily COVID-19 notification emails by campus when a positive case is reported, positive cases will be posted by date and campus to the District’s COVID-19 Dashboard on the MagnoliaISD.org website. Parents can visit this page to see the list of dates the school was notified of positive cases for any campus in the District.
MISD will continue to follow our contact tracing protocols for confirmed positive cases. If a student or staff member was directly exposed, they will receive an individual call from the school nurse or school administration. All positive cases and exposures will still follow District protocols and procedures before returning to school.
Our campuses, staff, and students are doing a great job working together to keep each other safe and healthy! Thank you again for your continued efforts and support.
Teacher of the Month - Josh Culp
“Since moving to Magnolia two years ago, I knew this is where I not only wanted to send my two kiddos (Ashlyn BBIS, Aiden BBE) but where I wanted to work as well.” Mr. Culp comes to us from Conroe ISD, after previously working in Aldine ISD for 11 years at the high school at which he graduated from (Eisenhower HS) and Terrell County ISD in west Texas. His wife, Beth, is also a special education teacher and works with visually impaired students in Klein ISD. “I am extremely happy to be a part of not just Magnolia ISD, but also to be a part of such a wonderful family at BBE.”
Staff Member of the Month - Rebecca Peters
Rebecca is married to her best friend, Wes. She is a diehard Astros fan and spends her weekends watching her granddaughters play softball. She is a mother of three grown children and a grandmother of four grandchildren, who call her “Mimi.”
Rebecca Peters has a passion for serving and helping others. She has spent her life with various school systems, ranging from a PTO president, Kindergarten para, front desk receptionist, and a Pre-K teacher. She is a firm believer in “Love first, teach second. She believes that if children know that you love them and accept them, they are more willing and able to learn and grow. “I am so honored to be at Bear Branch and be able to love and teach these precious kiddos. They are our future.
Thank you to my BBE family for selecting me as Staff Member of the Month for November.
