SPIRIT WEEK

Student Council is holding a fall/winter spirit week to get us ready for the cold weather and Thanksgiving. Students were given flyers last week (see below).

On Friday, we will have a PJ Day. This was made possible by the PTA and you; we surpassed our goal for Box Top collection this fall. The reward goes to the whole school instead of classroom and the reward this time was a pajama day. The money we raised from the box top collection will be used for seasonal recess equipment for our students. Thank you for your continued support.

Outdoor Recess Guidelines

Well, we had snow this week, please make sure your child has the proper clothing to go outside. We will go outside when it is cold and snowing.

Our guidelines for cold temperatures will be followed and monitored closely.

The temperature for outdoor recess is 20 degrees with the windchill.

Please make sure student have appropriate gear to be in the elements.

Winter coats, gloves, hats and boots are important.

You can send in shoes to wear in school and they can wear their boots out. Also feel free to send in an extra pair of socks or pants, sometimes the students clothing gets wet.

Medical restrictions for outdoor recess...

If students are not allowed to go out in the cold weather, they will need to have a doctors note that outlines the guidelines we are to follow (temperature, conditions etc) and the medical diagnosis. Parents are not permitted to write a note stating you want them to stay in due to a cough/cold etc. If we have no note on file, students will go outside on outdoor recess days. If you have sent in a doctor's note in the past, this needs to be updated each year.

Picture Retake Day

Wednesday, November 20th is our picture retake day.

Thank to our whom have served and protected our country!

On Monday our students attended our Veteran's Day program. It was led by our National Junior Honor Society students and staff. Our whole school was in the auditorium and we recognized many veteran's in attendance. Understanding the sacrifice these men and women have given to their country is extremely important. Our freedoms and safety are because of them and those whom have served that are no longer with us. In my opinion our anyone whom has served our country or is serving our country currently should be held to the highest regard in our country.

Thank you to all that attended! Thank you to all that have served!

Drop Off's in the morning

As the weather starts to turn colder, I want to remind families that our building doesn't open up until 7:30 each morning. When dropping kids off prior to 7:30, please make sure they have appropriate gear to be outside in cold weather. Thank you

Math Night 2019

On Tuesday, we held our 2nd annual math night. We had math activities for all age groups. Thank you to our parent partnership and staff for organizing. Thank you PTA for providing snacks and drinks, as well as helping provide supplies for students to take home.

All had a great time! Some of the pictures are explanations of the games or activities, you can try them at home.
