1st Six Weeks Common Assessment / Tuesday (26th) & Wednesday (27th)

Please see the links below for the necessary documents that support the data meetings.
Data meeting protocols will be reviewed by Instructional Coaches with teams this week so we are all clear on the process.

PA Announcements
Announcements for meetings will be posted in the main hallway on a dry erase board. We are working on a more permanent solution. Please communicate and ask your Rangers to use their planners to write down upcoming club/organization/team events. The ARSA Legend is available for everyone to stay informed of meetings. PA announcements will be very brief (see below). I will try this and see how it works.

Spotlight on 6th Grade Cafeteria Team: Lead & Achieve
Ms. Wilson writes:
I would like to spotlight the 6th grade cafeteria duty team. This team work together as a system and we communicate when other members are out. We are ready and in position when the students arrive. This makes lunch room duty a stressless task. You guys Rock! Team work make the Cafeteria Work.

Spotlight on Kattan, Seales, Palma, Cofer - Lead & Achieve
I would like to spotlight Kattan, Seales, Palma and Cofer. During the first game of the season these gentleman kept encouraged the students and remained calm on the sidelines. I believe this is what led to our students success.
Spotlight on ARSA Teachers: Grieb, Babeu, Parambath, Williams-Sanders, Horne, Wright, Hudson, and Torres
I would like to spotlight these teachers for taking the time to bring their students to the library. This really helps students learn about the library and how it works.

ARSA Instructional Highlights
Instructional Highlight: Ms. Ballard, 7th Grade Math
Math would like to highlight Ms. Ballard for her leadership and instructional focus. She lead the creation of a math review for the 3 week common assessment that embodies all 4 Cs as well as SEL.
Students completed a gallery walk in groups to solve multi-step math problems. They had to solve the problem on their own as well as work together to check their work and ensure all of their responses to the gallery walk were accurate. Ms. Ballard made great use of the classroom space with the large class. All students were academically focused by being accountable to their peers, taking risks explaining their thinking, and using their math tools.
