CLAIRES COURT BULLETIN
FROM THE HEAD'S DESK
A very busy week has seen an excellent presentation by the Born Free foundation and Discovery Education, who passed on the message of respect for our Wildlife both here and abroad. The message that stuck with the boys was DO NOT VISIT MARINE PARKS, this will hopefully stop dolphins and whales being in prison for reasons of arrogance and greed.
Year 9 also met Henri Obstfeld a Jew who lived in the Netherlands during the Second World war, a survivor of the Holocaust.
Year 11 were busy with their first written external examination and their Parents Evening, which proved to be very useful in planning the run up to the summer.
I look forward to the sold out Burns Night on Saturday and to meeting with Year 9 parents on Monday at the Options and Core subjects evening.
No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea. And no dolphin who inhabits one of those aquariums or one of those marine lands can be considered normal. Jacques Yves Cousteau
