What's Happening at JPE?
September 2021
A Message from the Principal
We had a fantastic start to our school year! We were so happy to see our students return, and we welcomed many new students to campus. Each student adds a uniqueness to our school community, and we are grateful to have them. Hurricane Ida interrupted us a bit, but we are eager to get going again. We are thankful to have electricity and connectivity!
Before Ida, we did have to quarantine some students due to Covid-19 protocols. We appreciate your understanding through this process. As needed, we will send work home for students and will be making sure they receive instruction. If you need a device during quarantine, please contact the school office.
We will have a Virtual Open House for first - fifth grade parents this month. Teachers will be able to share more specific things about their classroom procedures, expectations, and instruction. It will also be a time for parents to ask questions.
September 22nd is no longer a staff development day for teachers. Students WILL report to school on September 22nd.
Yearbook pictures have been scheduled for Monday, September 27th. Uniforms must be worn.
Great things are always happening at JPE!
Sincerely,
Lauren Kennedy, Principal
Reminder: Only individually, wrapped, birthday treats may be brought to school.
Thanks to all who helped with Ida Clean Up at JPE!!
