Principal's Corner
Justiss Friends & Families,
Welcome to a new and exciting year at Justiss Elementary! I am Reneé Elmore your principal and this is my 18th year as an administrator here at Justiss. I spent two years as an Assistant Principal and I have been Principal now for the last 16 years, loving every single second of it!!
Justiss Elementary serves the westside of Paris where pride is BIG and the community is the absolute BEST!! We have a population on our campus with an average demographics of 33% AA, 33% Hispanic, and 33% white. To say we are diverse is absolutely correct!
Our teachers are the absolute cream of the crop, who are the best and want the best for your children. This includes our campus, district and regional Teacher of the Year Chonda Hicks! Ms. Hicks will soon be traveling to compete at the state level and we all expect great things from her because we know the master level of teaching she produces in her room. She and all teachers at Justiss are amazing educators. You have chosen well when you chose Justiss for your student!
I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
My door is always open if you need anything!
Your principal,
Mrs. Elmore

Nurse's Notes
Due to the presence of COVID and other illnesses circulating in our community we ask that you please monitor your child’s health daily. The following symptoms indicate possible illness that may decrease their ability to learn and also puts them at risk for spreading illness to others:
Fever >100 degrees
Frequent cough
Headache
Sore throat
Stomach Pain
Diarrhea/Vomiting
Muscle Aches/Extreme Fatigue

If your child has been sent home from school ill, they must remain home for at least 24 hrs, be fever- free and show an improvement in symptoms without the use of over the counter medications. Students that have symptoms for more than 48 hours that are not determined to be related to chronic conditions should have a negative COVID test or a doctor's note to return.
