ELC Family Newsletter
January 2023
Updates from Mrs. Porter
Greetings ELC Families,
Our winter break is quickly coming to an end, and we hope everyone enjoyed the holiday season.
We continue to think about and reflect on the many successes and achievements of our students, staff, and school community during this school year. Our students make us so proud, and we truly appreciate your continued support and partnership in everything we do.
School resumes on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
We would like to stress that the past two months have brought significant challenges to our program due to a large amount of illness being spread. This has resulted in many days of being short staffed. Thank you to our team and our district admin for being tremendous in stepping up and helping wherever needed. We are all resting and rejuvenating over break to come back stronger than ever in January.
As we approach what has historically been our 'peek' of sickness season, please help everyone out by keeping your children at home when they are sick and by sending them to school when they are not sick. This will help us keep our doors open. Please read Nurse Corey's updates below.
Congratulations to Mrs. Missy Edmonds, Ms. Sharon Wilkes, and Mrs. Debbie Barta for being selected as Basehor-Linwood Education Foundation grant award winners! See more about their grants below.
Thank you to each of you for sharing your child with us during the most important years of their development. We appreciate the continued support as we strive to offer the best early childhood experience for your child(ren).
