This Week's Golden Paw Recipients

Every week we recognize students who are demonstrating our BCE credo! Our credo is WORK HARD-SHOW RESPECT-BE KIND-NO EXCUSES. Mr. Calvert, Dr. Stevens, and members of the lead team, visit each classroom to award Golden Paw stickers to students nominated by their teachers! Our school is full of great kids and we love highlighting outstanding character!

Dear Parents,


We wanted to let you know about a disturbing trend we are seeing on Tik Tok. Tik Tok is a social media platform that shows short videos.Tik Tok does have 13yrs old as the minimum age according to its terms and conditions. I know many students have Tik Tok. I encourage you as parents to sign up if you let your children get an account. I have an account because I wanted to see what my own children were seeing. Unfortunately, there are times that inappropriate things pop up on my feed. The videos are quick and your child can be exposed to very mature subject matter if you do not set parental controls.


My recommendation is that students in elementary school DO NOT HAVE TIK TOK. If you do allow Tik Tok, please monitor and set parental controls. We have seen a Tik Tok account that was made to make fun of other students. It has been removed but this could be considered Cyberbullying and it will not be tolerated. I understand that parents like the control of students having a cell phone. However, a cell phone without parental controls is a powerful tool that can open up many dangerous and inappropriate subjects.

  • Memberships are $8.50 each ($9.00 if you use card).
  • There is not obligation to volunteer. Joining PTA helps make events for students and support for teachers possible. See the membership form for more info on what PTA does.
