The Vaquita is endangered because incidental mortality fishing gear. The vaquita is a very small animal, It can reach to 5 ft in length and up to a 120 pounds. The vaquita is a very shy creature that can be rarely seen in the wild. Vaquitas can survive 21 years in the wild. Vaquitas live only on the Gulf of California.
How we can help the vaquita to not be endangered?
We can stop the animals from going endangered by putting a law to protect the animals in the wild. We can also not do fishing near the vaquitas habitat, because they are shy creatures and get caught in fishing traps when they are leaving the area.
