Free and Reduced Lunch

Please see informational video below about registering for the free and reduced lunch program.

Laptop Breakage

We have seen a rise in the amount of screen breaks for student laptops. Our policy covers for 2 broken screens per device. If your child’s laptop screen breaks 3 times, we will be required to send you an invoice for the repair and labor. The current cost for this is $200. Please remind your child to care for their laptops. Some simple steps to assist are:

  • Use two hands when holding or moving the device.
  • Use clean hands while using the laptop or iPad.
  • Use only the provided digital pen or finger on the screen.
  • Use only the power adapter that came with the device.
  • Use a microfiber cloth to clean the screen.
  • Keep device stored in the provided case. This includes traveling through the hallways, on buses, or anytime the device is not being utilized.
  • Make sure nothing is on the keyboard, close the lid, and remove all cables if any are plugged into the laptop. Place laptop in your bag carefully.
  • Be careful when placing your case on the floor. Keep the device off the floor so screens do not get stepped on by others.

Halloween Parade and Classroom Parties - October 31st

Titus's Annual Halloween Parade will take place on Monday, October 31st at 9:30am. In the event of rain, the parade will take place inside and unfortunately we do not have enough room in the building to accommodate all our visitors. Students may wear their costumes to school. Please make sure that all costumes are appropriate for school along with accessories. Please use your best judgement when it comes to accessories and ensure that those items are school appropriate.

Classroom parties will take place immediately following the parade and will conclude between 10:45 and 11am in order to prepare for kindergarten dismissal. Classroom coordinators and classroom teachers will reach out with more specific information.

Parent volunteers must check in with the main office when they arrive and must have the proper clearances. Our classroom teachers will communicate specific party information to these helpers. Thank you in advance for your time on this day.

Below are reminders that were shared via email on Tuesday, October 25th.

Costumes (for school)

  • Students may wear their costumes to school, but please make sure that they are able to navigate those costumes on the bus/car/walker paths. Students may also bring their costumes and put on prior to the parade as well.
  • Please make sure that students are able to move about in their costume as they will be parading on Lower Barness Road.
  • Please use your best judgement when it comes to accessories and that the accessories are school appropriate. No weapons of any kind are permitted for the parade.

Parking

  • Please utilize the back parking lot for parking and carpool if you possibly can. We have limited parking available in our Titus lot.
  • Please do not park in front of neighbors' driveways on Lower Barness or in our bus loop as we will be utilizing that for the parade.
  • Please be patient when trying to find parking as we know that there is limited space in our lots and on the roadways.

Dismissal

  • 10/31 is an early dismissal day for all 1st through 6th graders at 11:55am.
  • Kindergarten students will be dismissed at their normal time of 11:10am.

Attention Active-Duty Military and Retired Military Members

You are invited to start your Veterans Day with the students and staff of Titus Elementary for what has become a treasured annual event. We are extending an invitation to the family members, of any current student, who serve or served in the United States military to join us for a short but powerful tribute to veterans on Friday, November 11th. As we gather as a school, we would simply like to acknowledge the veterans in our families. Veterans are asked to arrive between 8:30-8:45 AM and the assembly begins at 9:00 AM.

FOR SECURITY REASONS, YOU MUST RSVP.

WE NEED TO KNOW WHO WILL BE COMING INTO OUR BUILDING.

A RSVP IS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION ON 11/11.

Please RSVP by Monday, Nov. 7th using this link https://forms.office.com/r/jQLQiaCLYN

Parents, due to limited space, thank you for understanding that this whole school gathering is for Titus students and staff as well as military members only. Any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Schorpp hniemeyerschorpp@cbsd.org

DON'T FORGET CLEARANCES ...

Titus will expect all potential volunteers to complete their paperwork for clearances prior to assuming any volunteer/chaperone role within the school. This will ensure we are in line with district and state expectations.

Who Needs Clearances: An individual who is responsible for the child's welfare or has direct contact with children. Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children to obtain background checks and clearances. In the best interest of the safety and security of our students, Central Bucks School District required the submission of these clearances prior to volunteering during the school year. Approved volunteers are given an identification card to be presented at the school (along with your photo ID, such as a driver's license) when volunteering. Please allow 7-10 days after you have submitted your online application for receipt of the ID card.

Additional information and steps on how to complete your clearances can be found on our district website by clicking here.
