Friday, May 13 - Uniform Free Day $2 PTA Fundraiser

Friday, May 13 will be our final uniform free day. Students may purchase a $2 pass. This is a fundraiser to help the CGMS PTA to support the school. As always, students should exercise good judgement in what they wear to school.

Proctors Needed for EOGs / Process Revised

Our goal is to have a proctor in every classroom for every core subject test. This will alleviate a great deal of stress and anxiety for everyone, as we can keep students in their classrooms with their teachers during testing. Right now, we are about ten proctors short of our goal. We need help. Volunteers DO NOT need to attend the two-hour Communities in Schools training; however, for the safety of our children, volunteers do need to pass a background check. Submitting the background check online takes about five minutes. It takes a few weeks to process the background checks, so we need to identify all remaining folks willing to proctor this week. As a reminder, end of grade testing will occur from May 25th through June 2nd. Even if you can just give us one day, we thank you so much! Give5Read5 Book Collection for Elementary Schools

Our media center will be collecting gently used books appropriate for elementary school students. Books may be given to homeroom teachers or dropped off directly in the media center. These books will be donated to primary feeder elementary schools, Bostian, China Grove, and Millbridge, for distribution to students for summer reading. Please help to support this important project.
