A Message from Principal Blair

I hope everyone had a fabulous Spring Break and enjoyed the beautiful Texas weather. We have a busy, busy week on the horizon with as the Spring semester begins to heat up!

The Campus Education Improvement Committee will meet in the library on Monday at 5:00 PM. We will review our Campus Improvement Plan and review progress towards goals along with suggestions moving forward.

Don't miss our 1st Annual PTO Painting w/a Twist Event on Wednesday at 5:30. Thanks to everyone who signed up! If you are unable to attend, please let us know so that we can include other families on our waiting list!

Shout out to our 7th Grade students for winning the grade level "Meets & Mastery" competition on STAAR Interim! They had the highest percentages in Math & Reading on our most recent assessment and will be awarded a special outdoor activity on Thursday at 3:00 PM.

This week, we will mail Middle of the Year (MOY) Math and Reading Progress Reports to all families. 8th grade students will also have Science and Social Studies data. The report will include our most recent STAAR Interim results. As always, if you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to help!

Sweepstakes is earned by receiving an overall 1st division rating on stage performance and an overall first division rating in Sight reading from six judges.

This is the third consecutive Sweepstakes for JMS and the sixth consecutive year 1st division ratings have been earned. Please congratulate these students and directors for their hard work!
