End of the Year Band Schedule



the week following our spring concert on May 5th, my responsibilities turn towards the 4th grade class preparing them for band recruitment. It's always hard for me to turn my current 5th graders loose after all of their progress and to think about starting all over again!

April/May Band Schedule

Tuesday, April 28 - Big Band at HMS 2:30-3:45 pm, percussion stays until 4:30 pm

Wednesday, April 29 - 7:45 am rehearsal and lessons

Tuesday, May 5 - Concert HMS Gym 6:00 pm, 5:15 pm report time

Wednesday, May 6 - OFF - no band or lessons

Wednesday, May 13 - 8:00 am band breakfast (no instruments - band binder only) no lessons

Wednesday, May 20 - 8:00 am rehearsal with instruments; 2:00 pm, All School Meeting Performance (band students meet at 1:30 to set up and warm-up - no lessons

We WILL have a brush up rehearsal that morning, May 20th at 8:00 am.

Students will meet again at the gym to set up and warm-up at 1:30 pm.

The performance is at 2:00 pm. If you are available - we would love to have you join us for our performance at the All School Meeting.

Wednesday, May 13th - 7:45 am - no instruments but please bring band binder

We will have a light breakfast (bagel, cream cheese and water breakfast - ingredient list provided below). In addition, we will watch a video of their performance, make purchases from the Treasure Chest and talk about some things they can practice at their leisure over the summer.
