Mrs. Owens' Retirement
We are ever so grateful for all the lives that she has impacted over the course of her time as an Eagle.
Please join us in wishing her many blessings in her future endeavors. She will be greatly missed by not only her students, but by all staff, teachers and families.
May God Bless her on this next chapter in her life. She will always remain our companion on the journey.
Letter from Dr. Wilborn
Dear Families of Ascension Students:
I have decided to make the great leap into retirement and will not be returning next school year. This was not an easy decision as it has truly been a rewarding journey this past 22 years at Ascension. I am so grateful to have been a part of this loving community.
It has been an honor and privilege to help steward so many children over the years, as well as work alongside so many dedicated professionals. My life has been greatly deepened and enriched by this experience. I have seen firsthand all the patience and hard work involved in providing truly a top tier Catholic education to our students; please give them your utmost support.
This coming August please welcome the new School Counselor. I know who she is and rest assured, your kids will be in good hands. Have a great summer and Go Eagles!
Together in Christ,
Dr. Kate Wilborn
School Counselor
Mr. Daprano's return

Catholic Youth Sports Requirement for 2022-2023 - Play Like a Champion Virtual Workshop May 24th
Dear Families,
Effective in 2022 the Parent Like a Champion Today (PLCT) workshop will be mandatory for any family who wants their child taking part in Catholic school sports. This is a required course every three years, which means you only have to take 60-90 minutes of your time to attend the course every three years from the comfort of your home.
PLCT will offer at least one online parent workshop each month. At the start of Fall 2022 no player will be placed on a team roster until the player’s parent/guardian attends the online parent workshop. This gives families several months to complete a workshop.
PLCT will send CYS a list of families who attend a workshop, and the registrar will note your family account. All future registrations will ask a family if they have attended the parent workshop. If they have not attended a link will be provided for them to register for upcoming workshops.
The LAST workshop of the school year will be May 24th. Register TODAY if you want your child to play CYS sports next school year!
CLICK here for registration link. Enter the registration code “OrlandoParent” to waive the registration fee.
We look forward to all families attending the Parent Like a Champion Today workshop that will make the Diocese of Orlando Catholic Schools the beacon of light for school sports.
Sincerely,
Catholic Youth Sports
