Message from the Superintendent
The end of the school year is filled with excitement and anticipation. Please note that our High School students have important Keystone Exams this week. Please encourage your child(ren) to get a good night's rest, a good breakfast, and to do his or her very best!
This same week, we have Prom and Field Days! We are looking forward to the 5th grade Meet & Greet Field Trip, Elementary Field Days, and Prom!
Be safe and be well,
Donna
Student Device Collection
Dear Panther Families,
Prior to the end of the school year, we will begin collecting District-issued student devices. These include District-issued i-Pads, Chromebooks, chargers, cases, and wifi hotspots.
All of these items must be turned in to your student's teacher by June 2nd. If you do not turn in your device before the end of of the school year, you will be invoiced for a replacement device.
EPASD students will not be keeping their school issued devices over the summer. If your student is in credit recovery or Summer Core Academy, they will be issued a device at that time.
At the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year, students will be reissued a device. As a reminder, students in grades K-3 will receive an i-Pad and students in grades 4 - 12 will receive a Chromebook. If you have any questions, please contact the Technology Department.
Thank you,
EPASD Technology Department

American Heart Association
On Tuesday, May 10th, East Pennsboro Elementary's own Rich Tysatczyk, Dan Etter, and Brent Cashman met virtually via Zoom with the American Heart Association Regional Managers. We are excited to report that EPE was the #1 school in all of Cumberland County with $15,896 raised this year! Additionally, EPE was the #2 school in the Central PA Region, which encompasses 5 counties!
Congratulations to EPE for this incredible accomplishment, and special thanks to Mr. Brent Cashman for his leadership in this endeavor!
Diakon Trip
High school students attended a trip through the YBEC Trails program to the DIAKON ropes course. They started with teamwork challenges low to the ground. Through initial failure, communication, problem solving, and teamwork students were able to complete each challenge as a group. Students then moved on to the high ropes course focusing on facing individual fears and providing moral support to those in need. Thank you to our staff for providing this educational and important trip!

Teacher Spotlight
Name: Mark Morris
How long have you worked at East Pennsboro Area School District? This is my 30th year teaching (27 years here at East Pennsboro Area High School as a Mathematics Teacher and Coach). I am also a 1987 graduate of East Pennsboro Area High School.
What is your favorite memory at East Pennsboro Area School District? My two favorite memories involve my children. My daughter Katelyn (class of 2016) was the Faculty Honor Speaker at her graduation. My son Payton (class of 2018) was the PIAA AAA Pole Vault State Champion in Track and Field in 2018.
What are your interests/hobbies? I have been coaching either Football or Track and Field for my entire teaching career. I no longer coach football and now specialize in only coaching the Pole Vault in Track and Field. When not in school or at practice, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy working out and walking my dog and my sons dog.
Married? Jennifer (EPAHS class of 1991) since 1996.
Children? Katelyn (EPAHS class of 2016) and Payton (EPAHS class of 2018).
Pets? I have a dog Aly (Boxador- ½ lab and ½ boxer) who I walk 4 miles every morning along with my son’s dog Millie Rose (labradoodle).
What is something no one knows about you? Not only do I coach here at school, I also work at VaultWorX a few days a week coaching pole vaulters from schools all over the mid-state.
What is your favorite quote or piece of advice? I always tell students/athletes that if you work hard and trust the process, good things will happen. There might be setbacks and you might not see the results right away, but good things will come your way. I promise.
