Fifth Grade News
Welcome to the 5th Grade Cafe!
Significant 72
The first three days of school (72 hours) are a crucial period in the development of student to teacher & student to student relationships.
This week we spent our time Teambuilding and Classbuilding. We participated in several getting-to-know-you activities that highlighted our interests and strengths. Some of these activities included a people maze, would you rather, and an intense game of rock, paper, scissors. We have had a blast getting to know each other this week!

Toothpaste Kindness Activity
We had an amazing discussion about the power of our words having the same effect on our peers. Once you say something mean, you can never take it back. You can apologize and ask for forgiveness, but the pain that those words caused will never go away. On the flip side, when you choose to use kind words, you never know the lasting impact that it could have on your peers.
This year, as a fifth grade, we are pushing for kindness in everything we do. We are asking the kids to show kindness through random acts of kindness, social media, and everyday situations. Ask your kids about this activity!
