Chromebook Care

  1. Chargers should be plugged in straight on with the rounded end of the adapter facing up. Trying to go at an angle can break the charger or Chromebook itself.
  2. Please be sure to keep case free and clean. Stickers and moisture can damage devices.
  3. Determine a fixed spot to plug in your Chromebook EVERY night so that it is charged and ready to go the next day. We have found that this step is crucial to keeping your Chromebook working properly. Keep your charger in your laptop bag when not charging.
  4. Make sure you bring your Chromebook every day. This is an essential school supply, not an extra.

You've Won the Homework Lottery!

Each week, students have a chance to earn a Homework Lottery ticket through personal responsibility. Each morning, they must turn in their reading and math homework as well as their spelling contract with all points completed on Friday.

Congratulations to these students for showing responsibility! Each will receive a scratch-off Homework Lottery Ticket.

Morning Reading Tutorials

We will begin our morning reading tutorials on Monday, September 29th. Students will go to Mrs. Smith's classroom (108) in the first grade hallway. Tutorials are daily from 7:10-7:40. Students need to attend at least three days a week and arrive on time for this to provide a benefit. I have told my students that for each day attend for the full time, I will provide her/him with a morning snack. Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Smith, who run this fantastic opportunity, will give each child a ticket to give to me as proof of their full attendance that day.

Students who are attending both reading and math may simply alternate days.

If you student did not get a green permission slip and you feel s/he might benefit, please let me know.
