From the Middle EMS and ELA
News from the Principal, December 13, 2019
Hello Parents and Families,
It is hard to believe that semester one is almost "a wrap!" We hope that your break is full of relaxation and time with family and friends. Our last week of school will be full of opportunity for students to finish on a positive note, participate in fun activities at the Pirate Duel on Thursday, and finish up their first semester classes. Some students will have different schedules second semester. These will all be available on the Parent Portal on January 6th.
Just a reminder that students return from winter break on Wednesday, January 8. Please make sure you are following the latest version of the calendar that is located here.
Thank you for your support...as always, let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

"Adolescence is a period of rapid changes. Between the ages of 12 and 17, for example, parents age as much as 20 years." ~ Author Unknown
As a parent of two tween/teen boys myself, I can definitely relate to this statement, and thankfully I can laugh a little too.
This linked article contains a lot of information about why "teens act like two-year olds sometimes" and how parents can "survive" these tricky years.
