By: Kate Woodworth
Rudolph Valentino was born on May 6, 1895. He soon migrated to the Unites States in 1913 from Italy. He did poorly in school, and ended up studying agriculture. To make money, Rudolf performed tap dancing in pubic bars. He soon found his talents by acting in "B" rated movies, which featured less known actors and genres. He was then noticed, and asked to be starred in Hollywood's top hits. One of his greatest hits was "The Sheik." America soon recognized him as the "Great Lover" of the 1920's. The fans admired him, and is still known as a modern actor to this day. On August 23, 1926, at age 31, Rudolph died from a sudden bleeding ulcer.
