Volunteers needed to help as well.

Report Cards

Report Card Envelopes

When report cards come home with your child on November 24, they will be in a large manilla envelope. Please sign and return this envelope, it will be used throughout the school year.

Turkey Dinner Coin Drive

Bryant students raised $1,310.52 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society during the Pasta For Pennies drive! Our class was one of six that raised over $100, earning us a bronze pennant!

Hopefully there is still some spare change left in your cars and couches because Student Council is sponsoring a collection to purchase turkey dinners for those in need this season. We will be collecting coins until November 21.

SCIENCE AND MATH

We have been discovering that water exists in different forms, and when the temperature changes, water changes. Last week was a great week for this concept! On the playground we experienced two types of snow within 15 minutes! Students froze cups of water (outside our backdoor) and then observed and experimented with melting the ice the following day.

In Everyday Math Unit 3, students have been moving up and back on the number line. Last week we used number lines to solve problems as well. Students have been "counting on" to add, and we are becoming aware that counting on from the larger number is quicker and more efficient. For example: even if the problem is 2+9, it is easier to start with 9 and add 2 instead of starting with 2 and adding 9.

Healthy Snack Sign-up

Students really enjoy having fruit and other healthy foods for snack. Thanks to those families who have already sent in some special snacks. Here is the link to our snack sign-up if you would like to send something in on a Wednesday or Friday.
