News from the School Counselor

Hello GES Students and Families!!

This is quick message from your school counselor, Ms. Weber, with some exciting news! I am pleased to announce that I will be taking on a school counseling intern for the New Year! Mr. Tim Recke will be joining me at Gilbertsville Elementary School for his internship on January 9, 2023 through March 17, 2023. I am thrilled to help someone in the field gain experience in such an amazing school like GES. Please see his introduction letter below, and if you have any questions for me, do not hesitate to reach out.

Ms. Julie Weber

School Counselor

Gilbertsville Elementary School

Hello,

My name is Tim Recke and I have been working in the Boyertown Area School District as a paraprofessional for the last two school years. During that time, I have also been working towards my Master’s Degree in School Counseling at Capella University. I am currently set to graduate and obtain my school counseling licensure at the end of the 2022-2023 school year after completing two internships. For my first internship, I will be your school counselor Julie Weber’s intern at Gilbertsville Elementary from 1/9/2023-3/17/2023. This will be my first clinical experience at the elementary level. I am hoping to improve my counseling skills with students at this level, learn more about the duties and responsibilities of a school counselor, and be helpful to the school, students, and families during my time here. I am beyond excited for this experience and cannot wait to get started!

Warmly,

Tim Recke

School Counseling Intern
