Happy October Nieman Families!
Picture day went off without a hitch (thank you Ms. Saunders) and all your children look simply adorable! Many were quite proud of themselves and how fancy they looked!
This past week the PTA hosted an amazing Chili and Paint Night! Thank you to all who attended, to our PTA volunteers who planned and hosted the event, and to Ms. Carter and Ms. Ellis for guiding us through the painting! The food was delicious and seeing everyone together was heartwarming! We hope that you will consider joining the PTA as the proceeds go straight back to our students!
This coming week is Anti-Bullying Awareness Week! We will be spreading awareness in a variety of ways, including through a spirit week- see the flyer below! Wear blue on Monday to kick off the week!
Have a wonderful weekend!

MVP Training Make-up Dates
We are so excited to have parents/guardians be able to come INSIDE the building and help volunteer. If you are already MVP trained and need to know if you need to renew or not, please contact Anne Kwon at annekwon@smsd.org. You must attend a training to be able to attend any class field trips and/or volunteer inside the building. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ms. Kwon.
If you missed our last MVP training, you’re in luck! I will be holding two trainings, October 5th at 8:15am and October 10th at 6:30pm. If you are interested in volunteering inside the school, such as in the Café for lunch, or attending a class field trip, going through this training would be the first step in being able to do so!
or :
If you missed the first MVP Training at Nieman Elementary. You can attend any of the attached locations.

YEARBOOK DESIGNER NEEDED:
Nieman PTA is in search of a Yearbook Chairman. Our current chairman: Sommer Saunders is finishing out her last year as her youngest child is in 6th grade. Sommer would love to find someone to help her this year to take over starting the 23-24 school year. Without a Yearbook Chairman, there will be no yearbook for families and staff, so if you love to design, be creative and want to keep these school memories documented for families and staff this might be the perfect position for you! The Yearbook Chairman must also be a paid Nieman PTA member. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Sommer at PTAmom81@gmail.com
