P.T.S.O. Tailgate

CHS Softball Field

The CHS PTSO is sponsoring a tailgate for students and staff next Friday after school.

  • Students playing a fall sport or involved with a club, see your sponsor to purchase a ticket for both the game and event ASAP
  • If you are a student not involved with a current club or sport, then you can sign up for the tailgate in the main office next week starting Monday (9/30) through Thursday (10/3). Bring $7 with you to sign up. The 7 dollar cost includes a meal at the tailgate and a ticket for the football game.

There will be a bonfire for students and staff outside of the Softball Field Fence following the PTSO tailgate.

The homecoming parade will start in front of CHS and end in the stadium prior to kick off of the football game.

Counseling Corner

  • AP Students have all registered for their classes and are receiving resources through their teachers, and my college board. AP test payment is due November 15th, the $94 fee can be paid to Ms. Beasley in the front office through a check or cash. You can also use to pay for your exam. Any exam paid after Nov. 15th, will incur an additional $40 fee.
  • College Advising will host FAFSA Night on October 8th from 5:00-8:00 PM for senior students who would like to complete their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Completing the FAFSA will take around an hour. Please arrive by 7:00 PM to ensure completion by 8:00. Find more information and complete the registration form here:

New Teacher Spotlight - Mrs.Luciano

Mrs. Luciano is one of of our two new Spanish Teachers at CHS. She is leading both Spanish III and Spanish IV.

Staff Weekly Highlight - Mr. Black

Mr. Black is a member of the CTE department and provides instruction for all levels of Technical Drawing including Dual Enrollment options. Mr. Black sponsors the Technology Students Association. The TSA students compete at district, state, and national competitions throughout the school year. Mr. Black goes above and beyond for students inside and outside of the classroom. He serves as a mentor and role model for students each and everyday. Thank you Mr. Black!
