Homecoming - Friday, September 24

Homecoming is an outdoor event with a harvest theme. We will host a few soccer events, listen to music from a DJ, play harvest games, enjoy food vendors, and engage with art stations - fun for the whole family! Here is what to expect at Homecoming:

  • There is no ASP on this day: Please make arrangements to ensure your student is supervised. Events/activities begin at 4:00 pm (1/2 and 3/4 soccer will begin at 3:30). Families may park and remain on campus during the span of time between dismissal and the start of events. Dismissal will still begin at 3:00 pm and all students must be accounted for by 3:15 pm and for the remainder of the event.
  • 1/2 and 3/4 Soccer Teams: The Northern Vermont University soccer team will be at school to work with students from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm.
  • 5/6 Soccer Team: This team will play Johnson Rec from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm.
  • 7/8 Soccer Team: This team will play Good Shepherd from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
  • Food: Pizza on Main, Nepali Cuisine, and Green Mountain Kettle Corn will be selling food; our vendors prefer cash.
  • Games: Games will include pumpkin ring toss, candy corn bowling, pumpkin tic-tac-toe, pumpkin sticker art, temporary tattoo station, and corn hole. Stations will be set up around the school grounds.

  • PTO Station: At the PTO table, there will be a candy corn guessing game, guess the weight of the pumpkin, and an apparel sale.

  • Playground/Nature Trail: The playground is open for family-supervised use - the nature trail is closed! Students (even if supervised) are not permitted to use the nature trail during Homecoming.

  • Homecoming is a dress down day for students and staff - we ask that folks wear school colors (burgundy and/or gold)!

Lucy Stabach finished her first-ever XC event in 19:46, with a smile on her face.

Thomas Kehler (attending and racing for Hazen) was first overall male out of 34 competitors in a blistering 12:03.13.

Luke Slesar in second overall at 12:33.33. Even the pace setter on a mountain bike had noticeable trouble staying ahead of Thomas. Participating were athletes from Stowe Middle School (including BJAMS kids), Lamoille Union, Hazen Union, and Lyndon.
