8th Grade Boys Basketball

November 18, 2019 vs. Maple Crest Middle School

Game Info: In the home opener, the Blue Devils played a feisty opponent from Kokomo. The game was a back-and-forth affair. The WildKats took a 25-20 lead into halftime, scoring 16 points in the second to the Blue Devils 7. However, our boys in blue fought in the second half to take home the W with a final score of 48-44.

Top Performers: Vince Hoover finished with a game high 26-points. Nolan Swan went 5/6 from the free throw line.

November 19, 2019 vs. Hamilton Heights

The game against Hamilton Heights started with a grand entrance, and a "Hawaiian Night" theme put on by the Middle School Blue Crew. Fans were also treated to a performance by the middle school choir singing our National Anthem.

This was an early-season battle reserved for the harshest of rivals. The Blue Devils went into half with a 20-18 edge. 4 quarters was simply not enough for these two evenly matched squads as they finished the fourth in a 37-37 deadlock. In the overtime period, the Blue Devils went cold and the Huskies pulled away. Final score: 40-46

This was a tough loss, but should set-up the rematch nicely in January; or even sooner at the MIC if both teams end up in the championship game.

Top Performers: Nolan Swan and Jackson Money chipped in 12 and 15, respectively.

November 21,2019 vs. Noblesville East Middle School

Game Info: Another tough opponent visited Tipton, and the competition was high. The Millers went into half time with a narrow 25-21 lead. The teams battled hard through the third and fourth quarters with the Blue Devils holding a lead into the final seconds of the match up. Noblesville was able to get a few shots to fall, and end up on the winning end with a 43-41 victory.

Top Performer: Hoover (10), Money (11), and Swan(13) all end in double digits.

November 25, 2019 @ Western Middle School

Game Info: The Blue Devils went away from the Devils Den for a matchup with the Western Panthers. The Blue Devils went into half with a 20-17 lead, and came out on fire in the second half. Final score: 51-36

Top Performer: Nolan Swan added his first 20-point game to the season. Hoover (16) and Money (20) finished with double digits.

December 2nd, 2019 @ Sheridan

Game Info: The Blue Devils traveled to Sheridan for a battle with the Blackhawks and dominated from start to finish. They went into the locker room at half time up 28-2; pitching a shut-out in the first period of play. The second half was much of the same, as the Blue Devils continued their defensive domination. Final score 55-9.

Top Performers: Jackson Money led all scorers with 17. Vince Hoover finished in double-figures with 12.

7th Grade Boys Basketball

November 18th, 2019 @ Maple Crest Middle School

Game Info: In a matchup with Maple Crest, the Blue Devils used a balanced scoring attack to build a 20-11 halftime lead. Six different scorers chipped in to help. That continued as the Blue Devils came away with a 45-32 final score.

Top Performer: Seven players scored in the game, led by Grady Carpenter with 14 points. Grady went perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

The B team lost a close game 16-15, led by Wyman with 6 points.

November 19, 2019 vs. Hamilton Heights

Game Info: Another great battle between rivals had the Huskies with a 19-14 lead a the half. The second half was a great showing of evenly-matched squads. Unfortunately, the Huskies were able to hold off the Blue Devils, and finished with a 37-31 win.

Top Performer: Gray Carpenter finished with 13 points; Cole Hussey and Sam Quigley each chipped in 8 points.

The B-team game ended with a final score of 20-12. Isaac Vehikite(4 points) and Dallas Capshaw(5 points) led the Blue Devils in scoring.

November 21, 2019 vs. Noblesville East Middle School

Game Info: The Blue Devils battled hard for four quarters, but the Millers simply had too much to offer. The final score does not represent the hustle and tenacity of this group. They continued to fight for the entirety of the game. Final Score: 46-21

Top Performer: Grady Carpenter finished with 8 points; Oliver Conaway added 7.

The "B" team finished on the losing end 28-13. Isaac Vehikite led all Blue Devils scorers with 5.

November 25, 2019 vs. Western Middle School

Game Info: What a game! It went down the wire in this one, as out beloved Blue Devils battled the Western Panthers. Tipton held a 21-13 lead at the half, with a strong 14-point second quarter. The Panthers battled back with defense by holding the Devils to just 8 second-half points. However, our boys did what they needed to, and held off for the "W". Final Score: 29-28

Top Performer: Grady Carpenter(10) and Landon Spidel(12) finished in double figures.

The "B" team let one slip with away with a 20-18 loss to the Panthers. Jason Creager(6) and Calvin Condict(4) led all Blue Devil scorers.
