What's Real in Reality TV Curriculum Unit.
In the coming weeks students will read and respond to non-fiction texts (print / non-print) about Reality TV. Students will gather evidence from text, consider multiple perspectives , develop a nuanced claim, and write a complete argumentative essay about Reality TV.
Pros and Cons of Reality TV
Essential Question:How does the media we consume every day (books, TV, movies, magazines, etc.) impact our identity?
Your BIG Audacious assignment is to write an argumentative essay asserting your claim about Reality T.V. Does reality TV have a more positive or negative impact on youth identity? You must present your claims and counterclaims.
Your essay should be at least 500 words long and not exceed 1,200 words in length. Your essay will cite 3 sources of evidence from documents, videos and other secondary sources related to both positive and negative aspects of Reality T.V
