Writing
In writing we are beginning to work on personal essays. During this time your child will have the opportunity to write a personal essay about a person that they admire. They might write about a family member, friend, neighbor, historical figure, or a celebrity. This focus will last approximately three weeks.
Reading

In math we are currently working on division. Please continue to work on the math facts.

Unit Studies
We are currently working on a unit in health about family and social health. This unit talks about ways to show responsibility and approaches to problem solving. It also talks about making choices that are healthy.
Field Trip
We have the opportunity to go on a field trip to Morrill Hall. This goes along with our science unit on fossils. We will go on two separate mornings. We will leave Cavett at 9:30 and we should be back around 11:40. Your child will be transported by bus.
