Have you heard about the Effective Schools Framework?
The goal of the Effective Schools Framework (ESF) is to provide a clear vision for what districts and schools across the state do to ensure an excellent education for all Texas students. The ESF provides support for district and campus continuous improvement through the facilitation of the ESF diagnostic process that results in the identification of prioritized practices the campus can focus on to support continuous improvement.
At the core of effective schools is effective instruction: interactions between students, teachers, and content determine learning outcomes. This instructional core is strengthened and supported by effective, well-supported teachers, high-quality curriculum, and positive school culture. Strong school leadership and careful planning encompass and ensure each of these prioritized levers.
We offer Effective Schools Framework diagnostic services to all of our Region 17 campuses. The process will identify the needs based on campus practices and data, develop a plan based on a narrowed focus on high leverage needs, and will support implementation with capacity building training aligned to the framework.
We will be offering an ESF session at Instructional Leaders on December 2, 2020! Come see what it is all about!
We can schedule your ESF diagnostic visit for Spring 2021. Contact Tori Mitchell for more information and to schedule your ESF.

Lead Where You Are
“I’m just...It’s a phrase we hear all the time. I’m just a teacher, I’m just an assistant principal, I’m just a tech director, I’m just a custodian….the list goes on and on and is always followed by reasons something CAN’T happen. Leadership is not a title, it’s an action...and it starts from within. Identifying leadership traits in yourself changes your mindset when thinking about leading those around you. The opportunities are endless for those who choose to lead. It’s our job to find those traits, focus our efforts on growth opportunities, and foster an environment where everyone has a chance to lead. You can learn more about Joe HERE!
