Finally, prior to our meeting on November 30, please complete the following survey.
Math PD Opportunities
Everyone is welcome to attend each session. They are intentionally scheduled during the contractual day.
Veteran's Day Information: From Related Arts
- Special events for grades throughout the morning (organized by related arts) – You could include these times in parent communication letting them know that veterans are welcome.
3rd & Kind (8:30-9:50); 4th & 1st (9:30-10:50); 5th & 2nd (10:30-11:50)
- Our theme this year is, “What make a Hero?”
- Mrs. Rutledge and Ms. Holliday will both be teaching about heroes during their classes in the next few weeks.
- We are asking that after Halloween, the teachers change their bulletin boards to display student work on the theme of heroes:
- Young Students: Have them draw a picture of a hero to display on the boards, etc.
- Older students: Have them write what a hero is to them & display it – could even include real pictures of people or family members who they see as heroes.
NO MEETING! NO MEETING! (ALL teachers who write objectives)
Want to avoid going to a meeting? Well...click here and view the ESOL Powerpoint on writing MPI (Model Performance Indicator)/Language Objectives. Take one of your Essential Standards, write an MPI/Language Objective and bring it by to Diane or Zulmarie to "check". If it is good, move forward and write more MPI's with your Essentials (have these in your plans). This MUST be done by November 8 at 2:45pm.
If this has not been completed by October 27, please plan on attending a face to face meeting to go through the PowerPoint and practice writing MPI's on November 8 at 2:45.
