Dear Families-Read on for the News

PPCS Board Elections

We have four candidates for three open seats for the 2022-2023 term of Palouse Prairie's Board of Directors, which is the governing body of the school. You can read about the Board Candidates on our website: https://palouseprairieschool.org/2022-school-board-candidates/

Voting will be conducted via confidential electronic ballot between June 1-6. Unique ballots will be sent to each eligible voter within the PPCS family community tomorrow (June 1). Eligible voters who do not receive a ballot by email may request a ballot by emailing Jeff Lonneker at jlonneker@palouseprairieschool.org.

Meet Our Executive Director Candidates

As a reminder, we have two finalists applying to fill the role of Executive Director of PPCS. You are invited to participate in Community Conversation sessions on June 6 and June 8 and provide input to help inform the search committee's recommendation to the Board. These Q&A sessions will be held in person in the PPCS Multipurpose room, with a zoom link provided for remote participation (listening only).

If you have questions that you'd like the candidates to address, please send them to Jessica (jbearman@palouseprairieschool.org) by Friday, June 3.

Empowering Parents Grant Program

The Empowering Parents Grant program is aimed at addressing learning loss among Idaho students. Families making less than $60,000 have priority status for receiving funds. Recipients can receive up to $1,000 per student, or $3,000 per household to help families cover the cost of a number of educational needs — such as a laptop, internet access, learning materials, or physical or occupational therapy. The grant program process is still in development, however parents can fill out this form to receive updates on the program. The program will open later this summer.
