Turrill Reps for the ELA Work Session
Oct 3 – 4th and 5th in the AM (Ryan and Mike)
Oct 6 – 2nd and 3rd in the PM (Sara and Katie)
Oct 10 – Kdg and 1st in the AM (Scott and Bob)
Location: at the Principal's Building
Tentative Agenda for the half day -
- Transfer unit 1 and 2 unit level KUD templates into the standards format used by Delaware.
- Continue to unpack additional standards that were not unpacked in Unit 1 and Unit 2 during the opening day…setting up a system that allows teachers to see at a glance the depth to which the standards are taught in each unit.
- Upload information into the One Drive so that all teachers have access to add or modify
- Identify gaps and supports for standards that have not been covered in depth
- Connect standards to what students are able to do, etc.
- Communicate next steps for PLC work – support grade level reps with PLC facilitation.

Teacher Corner
Who needs to be an approved volunteer?
A visitor needs to be an approved volunteer to:
· Volunteer in a classroom
· Work directly with a student or a group of students
· Chaperone a field trip
· Volunteer for field day
A visitor does not need to be an approved volunteer to:
· Attend a classroom party
· Have lunch with their student (visitor must leave the building immediately following lunch)
