Welcome Back to School 2023-2024
Principal News
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. I sincerely hope you had time to relax and are ready to start a new school year. I am thrilled that you are part of our learning community and I look forward to working with you and your children again this school year!
All signs point to another busy and productive school year. Our skilled and devoted staff have been planning and preparing for your child(ren)'s arrival. Our hard-working and conscientious custodians and summer crew have spent the entire summer thoroughly cleaning our building. And, our much-appreciated PTO is gearing up to welcome families and plan exciting events and programs for our school. Jim Falls is certainly a kind and caring community with the common goals of nurturing responsible, caring students and promoting high-level learning.
Our Open House is on August 31 from 5:00 - 7:00p and September 1 from 8:00 - 12:00p. It is the perfect time for students and families to meet their teachers and become familiar with the building. It is also the perfect time for some of our students to get a much needed haircut! Please see below for more information on signing up for a free haircut. We are looking forward to meeting each of you that night.
Please take time to enjoy the last few days of summer.
Soaring with Eagle Pride,
Mrs. Janet Goodman

Back to School Open House and Checklist
We will be having an open house for all students on August 31st from 5:00 - 7:00pm and Sept. 1st from 8:00 - 12:00pm. Please pick the day and time that works best for your family. At that time you can meet your teacher, bring in school supplies, drop off any medication to the health office, pay your fees, make lunch payments, and have school pictures taken.
ALL FAMILIES: Please complete the items below prior to attending the open house.
- Important!! Please fill out this Jim Falls Transportation Form before August 25th. It is very important that we have this information so we know where your children will go at the end of the day. Chippewa Yellow Bus Co. will be mailing out bus number notifications soon. Please watch your mail for that and fill this out as soon as possible.
- The Chippewa Falls School District will not permit a child to change their usual bussing unless there is approval from the bus company. Changes need to be made at least 24 hours in advance. Jim Falls Elementary office will not be handling bus changes. Questions regarding your child's bussing should be directed to the Chippewa Yellow Bus Co. at 715-726-2454.
2. Pay Fees:
- Pay classroom fees on Infinite Campus under the fees tab.
3. Annual Online Registration:
- You MUST register your child(ren). This has important permissions for field trips, photographs, internet usage, etc. and will ensure that we have the most up to date emergency contact information. Log onto the Campus parent portal and click on the More menu item, Online Registration, and then 23-24 Next Year Existing Student Registration to begin the process. If you need help logging in, click on the "Problems logging in?" link on the login screen. For help with the online process, email our help desk at helpdesk@chipfalls.org and include your phone number. If your student is a member of more than one household, please understand that only one household can complete the online process. See below image for more details.
4. Breakfast/Lunch Account Payments:
- Please deposit money into your child's food service account prior to the start of school. Payments can be made on the Infinite Campus portal under the food service tab. The free and reduced lunch application is also located on your Infinite Campus parent portal by selecting "more" then "meal benefits". Here is a list of the CFAUSD Meal Prices.
Click here for Infinite Campus for registration, lunch payments and to pay fees
5. Bright Smiles Permission:
Once again, our district is working alongside the Bright Smiles Oral Health Program to provide dental care to our students in Kindergarten-5th Grade. Each student will receive an oral screening by a registered dental hygienist, have their teeth cleaned, and receive an application of dental sealants if necessary to protect their teeth from cavities. This year, the program will be back for 2 visits of fluoride and 1 visit of sealants and fluoride. This is offered at NO CHARGE to you.
Please see the link below for the Bright Smiles Oral Health Program. If you are NOT interested in having your student participate in this program, simply click on the 'No Thanks" on the form as you complete it. In answering these questions, it helps us receive grants to continue providing these services. Otherwise, fully complete the form to have your child eligible for the program.
https://sealasmile.wisconsin.gov/Consent
The consent will be good for the 2023-24 school year. We will need to have enough responses from students wanting this service in order to run the program, so please take advantage of this great service. If you have any questions, please call Carol at 715-933-0065
6. School Pictures:
- All students will need to get their picture taken for school records and the yearbook during our Open House. Orders can be placed online at Strawbridge Studios. Prices are listed here.

Chiropractic Care at school
Did you know that Chippewa Falls School District students can receive chiropractic care right at school during their school day? On-Site Chiropractic has been providing care to the students in the CFASD since 2017. The adjustments are quick and parents love the convenience.
Teachers have reported great changes in their student's school day when their students are well adjusted. Chiropractic care is a great tool to help kids thrive in their environments and adapt to their surroundings. What better place to thrive than at school?
