The end is in sight!

We can see June from here. There are many activities planned at school and in our classroom. Some of the activities are things we must finish up and some of them are just plain fun.

We have a class program scheduled on May 28th. Our program will focus on the regions of the United States. This has been our topic in Social Studies. We have learned some very cool songs for this program. The programs are tentatively scheduled for 10:00 and 1:00 on the 28th of May in our classroom. We hope you can come!

BOOK PROJECTS- LAST ONE FOR THE YEAR- DUE MAY 14

The last Book Project for the year will be due May 14th. Presentations will be on the 14th thru the 17th. We will start the summaries in class, students will finish them up at home. This has been a fun project and I've been amazed at the creativity of our class.

What's Happening in Math Right Now?

We have started Unit 11 and will squeeze Unit 12 in before the year ends. Unit 11 will discuss volume and measurement. Both topics are things we have discussed earlier in the year, but this will take it to a little different level.

Unit 12 will introduce rates, graphing data, and unit pricing.

Science Museum Field Trip

Both 4th grade classes will be going to the Science Museum on May 30. The PTO has generously offered to cover the cost of the bus. We are asking for a $5 donation to cover the entrance fee of the museum. Students will also see the Omni Theater presentation on tornadoes. I would like to take a few parents with us. If you are interested, please let me know.
