Important Details for Those Attending March 26

I look forward to seeing you Saturday morning for an awakening practice of restorative yin, sound, meditation, and mini-massage!

Lauren Malone will be helping me give mini-massages during our practice, so expect lots of yogi love! I will have a gratuity jar if you would like to make a donation for her delightful assistance.

We are honored to have a number of people attending, so please note the following to ensure a wonderful experience:

  1. Some props are available, but if you have your own, please bring your mat, a blanket, block, and firm pillow or bolster. Whatever you need to be your most comfortable!
  2. Because of the stillness of Yin Yoga, if you tend to get cold quickly, dress in layers that allow you to stretch comfortably. A long sleeve shirt over a t-shirt or tank should be enough.
  3. PARKING is available on the west side of the building on Cedar street, but will be limited! If possible, car pool. You may have to walk a block or two.
  4. We will start promptly at 10:00 a.m.. We recommend you arrive 15-20 minutes early to sign in and get settled on your mat.
  5. If you have not signed a release form, please do so before class (these will be available at sign-in).
  6. Leave footwear outside of the practice area.
  7. The practice area has amazing acoustics. Voices carry. Because of the nature of this session, We ask that you enter the practice area in noble silence. If speaking, please use your "inside voice." Once the practice is closed, joyful socializing is welcome!

FAQs of Those New to Yoga

What should I bring to class?
While some equipment is available for use, it is recommended that students bring a mat, yoga block, blanket, and strap.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to stretch and move comfortably. For yin class, you will want to wear layers (i.e. a sweatshirt over a t-shirt or tank)

How will I know what to do? I’m afraid people will look at me!
That’s why you take a class! The only person looking at you will be the instructor, who will guide you in poses so they are effective & safe. Others are focused on their own experience. Every yoga class has students who are new to yoga!
